book created on Contemporary Indian artist.
Although Akash’s trio-graphs, as he has named his 3D
artworks, has been shown in influential art spaces, e.g.,
Musée du Louvre in Paris, he is still regarded as emerging and
promising artist in the Worlds Art Scene.
Akash is a painter, a printmaker, a
photographer, a sculptor, a videographer, a
futurist. In this digital age, he is fully aware
of the shift from the Euclidean age to the
present axiomatic and perceptual world. His
incessant pre-occupation with the playful
imagery is reverberated in most of his work.
In his earlier works, his space concerns
remained quite unconventional and the use of
three dimensional – cum – relief like pictorial
surfaces became his forte. Deft handling
of brush and his own meditative elation in
his earlier works became a metaphor and
seemed to carve a language of their own.
Most of his organic and inorganic images
were involved in theatrical enactments and
created metaphysical possibilities of the
human mind. Akash did create an atmosphere
infused with the laughers while the rigorous
process of delineation of drawing landed a
special charm to his work and inspired the
viewers to comprehend full sense of their
own imagination.
