Nature has always fascinated mankind by its sheer beauty, power, and ingenuity. Many examples can be seen in poetry, art, and other mediums since ancient times. ‘Expressions of Nature, a solo show of abstract paintings
by artist Hemant Malhotra opened at Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi on 21st May 2022 and was on view till 31st May 2022. The exhibition showcased about thirty paintings created over the years which are truly inspired by nature and they emanate the minute nuances of life. Artist suggests that he has been practicing and developing on this theme for many years. The soothing color and composition of the canvas has actually given serenity to the viewers once they enter in the exhibition space after dealing with the scorching sun of Delhi’s summer. Hemant’s abstract expressions are fluid, elusive, and enigmatic that explore nature’s beauty and its subtle nuances. His canvases offer a wide range of textures, lines, shapes, and colors. The unconventional use of iron rods onto the peaceful abstraction indicates artist’s passion for art and proximity with nature.
