Famous artist Achuthan Kudallur, 77, passed away in Chennai on Monday morning, July 18, from an illness associated with ageing. The artist was admitted to a private hospital in the city after becoming ill over the previous few days. He was a member of the Madras Art Club, which was based out of Chennai’s Government College of Art. Achuthan Kudallur, who was originally from the Keralan district of Palakkad, had been living and working in Chennai for many years.
Achuthan Kudallur, a self-taught abstract artist and former civil engineer, was a well-known figure in south Indian contemporary art circles. All renowned galleries across the nation displayed his works Including Art Konsult, New Delhi. Additionally, he held solo & Group exhibitions all over the world.
